Our Parish - Parish Funds - Operational Fund

In recognition of Matthew the Apostle who is the patron saint of accountants, bankers, bookkeepers, financial officers and money managers. His name means "the gift of God."

"Jesus saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax office and said to him: Follow me. And he rose and followed him." There is no reason for surprise that the tax collector abandoned earthly wealth as so as the Lord commanded him. Matthew understood that Christ, who was summoning him away from earthly possessions, had incorruptible treasures of heaven in his gifts.

PURPOSE AND USE:
The Operational Fund was developed to assist the continued support of the operational budget as a whole. There is a constant need to provide for additional staffing and to provide just salaries and benefits.

CRITERIA:
This Fund will be used solely for the purpose of operational expenses in accordance with the yearly budget and the advice of the Finance Council.
