Moving into the nave we see the overhead balcony which is completely free standing, supported and cantilevered on four   columns. This was made possible by embedding the same amount of steel and concrete below the floor as can be seen above.  

It will seat 273 people.  The balcony was dedicated to the memory of Fr. Joseph Ciesluk, the first pastor of the parish. As we move into the center of the nave, we are suddenly overwhelmed by the immensity of the room. It was designed with the intent to make 

us  sense the power and majesty of God and to instill in us a feeling of humility in God’s presence. Dimensions: 142 feet long at floor level. 100 feet wide. The nave seats 980 people. The brick floor has a 5' slope to aid visibility in the church.
